Trilogy exit trim (ETDL, ETPDL, ETPL, ETDLN, ETPDLN) retrofits onto rim exit devices from all the major manufacturers: Marks USA M9900 (sister NAPCO brand — native fit), Von Duprin 99 / 98, Corbin Russwin ED5000, Yale 7100, Dorma 9300, Sargent 8800 (old and new style), Precision 1100, Precision 2100 (requires PB21 plate), Cal Royal 9800, Hager 4500. Arrow 3800 is custom-order with 16–18 week lead time. You order the ET trim specifying your existing rim device make, and it ships with the correct tailpiece to engage the device's dogging mechanism.
What programming hardware do I need to set up a Trilogy system?
For standalone locks (DL / PDL / ET / PL), at minimum an ALPCI2-U USB cable (plugs into laptop USB, banana plug into lock's programming terminals) + DL-Windows software (free download). For large deployments across many doors, add an AL-DTM3 data transfer module so you can program from the laptop once, then walk the DTM3 to each door and transfer. What's the battery life on Trilogy locks?
Standalone cylindrical (DL6100, DL4100, DL3000): 3–5 years on 5 AA alkalines at typical 25 cycles/day. Standalone narrow stile (DL1300): 100,000 cycles on 2 × 3V lithium cells. Networx locks: 2–3 years on 4 AA alkalines at typical 25 cycles/day — Networx uses more power for the radio, so batteries drain faster than standalone. Alarm Lock's Power-Saver circuit extends life in high-cycle deployments. Trilogy gives low-battery alerts well in advance of failure, and DL-Windows / AirAccess shows battery status per lock across a Networx deployment so facility managers can batch-replace batteries before any lock dies. Weatherproof models (DL2700) typically run 2–3 years at exterior temperatures.
Is Alarm Lock really owned by the same company as Marks USA?
Yes.
