⚠️ Important — Read Before Changing Any Codes

  • Always keep the door open while programming or changing codes. Test the new code at least 3 times with the door open before closing it. Lockout service due to a bad code change is avoidable and expensive.
  • If your lock is acting up randomly — beeping for no reason, not responding consistently, or rejecting known-good codes — have it serviced or replaced now. A lock that fails completely will cost far more to deal with in an emergency than a planned repair or replacement. Don't wait until you're locked out.

Troubleshooting

  • Safe Mode activated: After 3 wrong attempts in 5 minutes, the lock enters Safe Mode. Enter the correct code twice in a row, use the app, or use a registered fingerprint to disable.
  • Keypad not responding: Activate by pressing and holding any area of the screen for 3 seconds.
  • Batteries dead: Use the 9V battery connection socket on the bottom of the exterior panel for emergency power.
  • Lost Activation Code: Contact Lockly support at lockly.com/help. Without this card, a factory reset cannot be performed.

Lockly smart locks can store up to 8 access codes (6-8 digits each). You can also grant access via fingerprint (up to 99 prints on supported models), the Lockly app, or eKeys for guests.

What is the Lockly Activation Code and why do I need it?

The Activation Code is a unique code included on a card with your lock. It's required to pair the lock with the app and to perform a factory reset. If lost, contact Lockly support directly for assistance.

Can I use Lockly without the smartphone app?
